Mt. Rainier, Dec 21 — WordPress servers crashed on Wednesday as Les Gentrificateurs released their new single, Darkness on the Edge of Clown.

WordPress issued a statement blaming the service interruption on a stampede of fans hungry for the “Mt. Rainier Sound.”

“Les Gentrificateurs are breaking the internet and blowing up the clubs,” Rolling Stone critic Nigel Farage said.

Asked about the inspiration for his band’s latest single, Les Gentrificateurs lead singer Jimmy Skitäcklig’s eyes grew damp and he became visibly agitated.

“Our song captures the tragedy of someone who’s fought long and hard to displace others, only to be displaced themselves,” Skitäcklig said.

Les Gentrificateurs’ latest release follows on the heels of two platinum-selling albums, Appetite for Construction and OK Developer.
